What Medications Are Safe To Take For The Swimmer's Ear Infection During Pregnancy And Does It Resolve On Its Own?
I am 6 weeks pregnant, and nursing my 19 month old daughter.
I have an advanced case of swimmer's ear infection. My ear is swollen shut. An ER Doctor inserted an ear tampon and prescribed Corticosporin, which I did not fill. It is Category C and scares me.
Today I went for a second opinion. The doctor prescribed Amoxil or Ciprodex. I don't really feel comfortable taking either. I need to know what to take that is safe. Will this resolve on its own? Pain is extreme....very helpless
hello. if the pain is extreme, then its better to take amoxil, it will help. also, you can put corticosporin, its not risky as you are putting it in the ear only. please dont worry and take the medicines. thanks
