What medications can be used to slow a fast heart beat? I have a fast heart rate. I'm only 15. I was wondering what medications can be used to slow this down? I was hoping there are other things than Beta Blockers. Because I heard that Beta Blockers can be dangerous or not helpful. I heard there have been at 800,000 deaths caused by it.

  • hi my name is russell i think im going thru the same thing you are my heart  at rest is    65-90 but when im   walking or    running it jumps   to   100-115    its coused by   to much caffene or  salt or evin just strees the best thing to do is   just relax and   take a breather    the more you worry the more stress will billed up and the longer or it may get worst thanks russell...goodluck  : )

how much is your heart rate per minute? Self medication for cardiovacular disorders that too when in doubt is not recommended because any drug interfering with normal functioning of one of the most important organ of the body i.e. Heart can be dangerous.

i am recovering from alcohol withdraws, and was put on generic librium, howevr im waking up with a heart rate of 101 and a high blood presure.....I took my blood pressure pilss to bring the numbers down (atenelol and benazapril) should I be worried?
