Welcome to HCm.
Cough and phlegm in a child is due to a chest infection. If there is improvement in 3-5days by continuig Augmentin suspension could cure it. However if the symptoms persists, a paediatricians examination including a chest xray will be necessary. Regarding diet, milk and soft foods with plenty of fluids will be preferable. Thank you
Hi!
According to the history, I think your daughter requires some blood test and X-ray of chest to rule out Pulmonary Tuberculosis. So, after completion of your antibiotic course, if there is no improvement, please consult pediatrician and tell him about the suspicious of tuberculosis. Once this disease is diagnosed, doctor will cure it and your daughter's health will be improved. Have a speedy recovery of your daughter.
