General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
White colored clear discharge indicates serum exudate that comes out due to tissue irritation. of surgery. It's necessary to express it out while dressing. To be accompanied by proper antibiotic cover with anti inflammatory drugs as per your surgeon's advice. Mostly 8-10 days are required for healing and removal of sutures but healing time also depends on the severity of cause, patient's health and how much dissection was needed to remove the glands. Please enquire with your treating surgeon.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
