Hi & Welcome.
Paracetamol or
Acetaminophen can be taken along with Losartan.
OTC pain relievers (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) like Aspirin or
Ibuprofen can reduce the blood pressure lowering effects of Losartan.
Long-term use of these medications can cause retention of salt and water in various tissues and this can alter the efficacy of Losartan.
In addition, these medications may affect your kidney function, especially when they are used together frequently or chronically.
Paracetamol or Tylenol (Acetaminophen) is often the best choice for people with high BP while taking treatment with Losartan. However, high doses of Tylenol can damage the liver, so take the lowest dose you can to get enough pain relief. Never take more than 4,000 milligrams (mg) a day. That’s equal to twelve 325 mg pills.
If Tylenol does not work, ask your treating doctor about using a stronger
analgesic (painkiller) like
Tramadol for a short time.
Hope to have answered your query.
Wishing you best of your health.
