What Possible Treatments Should Be Done For Breast Tumor ( Not Malignant)?
Hi.. My name is Mamta Gupta. I have a sister in Australia. She has been diagnosed with breast tumor. The biopsy has been done. The tumor is not malignant. My question is whetjer it should be operated or not. There is a conflict in the opinion of doctors there. Some are saying it should be taken out and others that it can be cure with just the vitamin E and doesnt require the surgery. So please suggest. if u want I can send the reports to you.
Hi and thank you so much for trusting us with your health query.
I am so sorry to hear about this breast tumor your sister has. All breast tumors should be removed. If it is not removed, then we may be unable to tell whether it has progressed to a malignant tumor or not. Also, a malignant tumor may be obscured by this already tagged benign tumor. I will strongly suggest that you get this removed to allow future masses to be detected quickly and investigated properly.
Vitamin E would not be able to make a breast mass to regress totally. It would be a long wait with no guaranteed results.
I hope you find this helpful. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and please do feel free to ask for clarifications or more information if need be. Dr. Ditah, MD.
