What Precautions Can Be Taken After A Monkey Bite?

Hi Dr. Today mng at 4 am a street monkey has bitten me. I had taken ARV. Vaccine and some more injections and medixmcune. Dr advised me to take 4more doses with gap in each dose. There is any food restrictions or any other precautions please advice me Dr.. There was any problem or side effects with monkey bite please tell me doctor.

Yes, rabies prophylaxis is recommended for monkey bite also. One dose of the vaccine is administered on days 0, 3, 7, 14 and 30 intramuscularly. Injections must be given into the deltoid region. There is no restriction of food.
Advice
1.     Clean the wound with betadine liquid
2.     Injection Rabipur intramuscularly on days 0, 3, 7, 14 and 30
3.     Injection Tetvac IM stat – one dose
4.     Hot fomentation with slight warm water
5.     Ibuprofen 400 mg after meal per oral if pain is intolerable. Otherwise avoid it
