I m worried but when I poke my self I didn t see any blood on my finger until I squeeze my finger really hard ! Should I worried ? Or see a dr ?
There is a chance of transmission of hepatitis C through a used needle. I suggest to encourage the wound to bleed, ideally by holding it under running water. wash the wound using running water and plenty of soap and then dry the wound and cover it with a waterproof plaster or dressing. I also suggest to do the hepatitis C test for further evaluation.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
