Hi, 2 days back I hat my blood test done, it says s. bilirubin 1.44mg/dl. it is slightly high than normal. What precautions should be taken in this situation. and i also wanted to know the diet I should follow, as i have to go for a official trip(abroad)
Thanks for the query. S bilirubin of 1.4 without any symptoms is fine but however get yourself tested for HBsAg and HAV, Anti HCV with an ultra sound scan. Abstain from alcohol, spicy and oily food. Have a healthy living
Hi;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
Your bilirubin is on higher side and you should also see your SGPT/SGOT if they are also high then you may be having active jaundice.If you have jaundice then you need to take rest and take food that is easy to digest like soft diet with rice;curd;vegetables and avoid oily food ;fried food;non veg food and take sugarcane juice or glucose powder in water and it will be controlled.But rest is required and strict diet control will help you recover soon.
Thanks
