What Precautions Should Be Taken To Maintain The Uric Acid Levels?
Hi I am having a burning sensation after urination.Got all the tests urine routine,KFT & LFT. all the tests are OK. Doctor prescribed Citralka syrup. Doctor told that it is due to uric acid although it was within normal range(6.5) Took one dose and there is relief but I am feeling little drowsieness. What precautions are required to keep the uric acid low and what can be the side effects of citralka
I can understand your concern. There are certain food items that can help to keep your uric acid on the lower side.
One tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water taken 2-3 times a day and a lemon squeezed in warm water taken on empty stomach in the morning will help to increase alkaline levels and reduce uric acid in body.
In addition, having cherries and restricting on alcohol, purines (mostly non-vegetarian diet), high fat diet and high sugar will help you.
Common side effects of this syrup include diarrhea, loose stools, nausea, vomiting and little discomfort in stomach. It is otherwise a safe syrup to continue.
I hope this answers your query. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Take care.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
