What Precautions Should Be Taken While Undergoing Chemotherapy?

I was told that once chemo has begun, there are certain things that need to be avoided such as: contact with pets, sleeping in bed with your spouse because of exposure when sweating during the night. Is there any truth to either of those and are there any other things I should be aware of as a Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer patient about to begin chemo soon?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Your immunity will be significantly lowered after chemo. Better to avoid exposure to pets and pollutants as much as possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
