What Precautions Should One Take During Sex While On Trigestrel ?

Hi, my girlfriend was on Triphasel then she went to the clinic to get her new supply of the pill , they put her on trigestrel. Ive read that Trigestrel is the Generic version of Triphasel. Im wondering if she starts with this new pill if there is a waiting period for how long we have to be extra safe while having sex or if we can just carry on like normal right away?

Hi, The new pill should be started on the day when she was supposed to start her new pack & if there was no gap in starting the pill ( that is if no pill was missed ) no extra precaution required. Generally it is considered a good practice to use barrier methods (condoms) along with the pills. It will offer extra precaution as well as more likely to protect you from STDs. Bye.
