General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
The recommended amount of Enfamil A+ for a 7-week-old infant is about 2-3 ounces (60-90 ml) per feeding, with 6-8 feedings per day. So, 200 ml per feeding seems to be a higher amount. It is best to consult with your pediatrician to determine the appropriate amount of formula for your baby based on weight, age, and nutritional needs.
Regarding the number of scoops, the instructions on the formula package should guide the correct amount of water and scoops of formula powder to use. The number of scoops can vary depending on the concentration of the formula.
Gas sounds are common in infants, and it may not necessarily mean that there is an issue with the brand of formula. However, if you are concerned, it is best to speak with your pediatrician to rule out any underlying issues.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
