What Should I Ddo For Persistent Rash And Sore Throat?
58 year old sister is complaining of persistent rash with temp of about 96 F. She tested positive for Strep last week and was given Rocephin which doesn't seem to clearing up the sore throat or neck nodes. The rash occurred before she started antibiotics. Is this just strep or perhaps something else?

As per your query you have persistent rash and sore throat which could be due to streptococcus infection , allergy to some cosmetic or food product or infection of upper respiratory tract. I would suggest you to avoid eating spicy and heavy food , also avoid eating nuts and sea food . Maintain hygiene , rinsing and gargles with betadine . You should take combination of levocetrizine along with amoxicillin for 3-5 days. Drink warm water with one spoon of raw honey . Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should go for blood and sputum test. Doctor may prescribe anti inflammatory , antibiotics or immunosuppressants Avoid cold carbonated beverages. Do warm saline gargles several times a day.
