Hi...
history of trauma with
loss of consciousness looks more like a features of concussion.
Concussion occurs due to violent shaking of the head or a direct trauma to the head causing the brain fluid ( CSF) disturbances, this fluid imbalance causes secondary injury to the brain.
Throbbing pain post trauma is most commonly due to
soft tissue injury and the cold sensation over the face is caused because of trauma to the terminal nerves/ nerve endings.
In your scenario it looks more like traumatic concussion with soft tissue injury. it is very unlikely that the temporal skull (temple bone) bone is fractured with
blunt trauma and that to producing minimal symptoms like these.
Things to do-
1)Watch for signs of head injury like loss of consiousness, vomitng, giddiness,
severe headache, ear/nasal bleed, seizures for next 48 hrs.
if it occurs report to the hospital for further investigations and management.
2) apply cold compression.
3) donot rub the region.
4) take pain killers- diclofenac 50mg twice a day.
5) Take serriopeptidase twice a day , this will reduce the swelling.
these symptoms will last for a minimum 3-5 days, if pan / swelling persists visit your physician.
Thank you
