What Should Be Done After Missing A Dose Of Active Pill?

Hi I m on the pill and had unprotected sex on the last day of the active pill. I took all the active pills on time apart from once when I had it about 5hrs late because I forgot to take it with me. My placebo week has started and I normally start my period by now but I haven t started yet. Should I take a morning after pill to make sure I m not pregnant?

Hello,

There is no need to take an I pill because you are protected and took the contraception pills correct. A delay of 5 hours on taking a pill impairs the protection. You may be sure that you are not pregnant so can stay safe. The delay is possible a hormone imbalance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
