What Should Be Done If Puss Formation Is There At The Place Of Ear Pierce?
My 5yr old daughter had a little infection on one of her ear piercings. She's had the piercing for 1 yr. a few months ago,I notices a little bump on her outer Tragus, it looked like a wart. Now today I was cleaning the crusty stuff off the back of hr earring. And noticed her wart/ bump looked liked it was puss filled. I pushed on it and a lot of white puss came out. What should I do?
I can understand your concern for pus formation at the place of ear pierce in your daughter. After reading your query it appears that your might have developed secondary infection at the area.
It would be better for you to consult a doctor for the best advise or antibiotic course if necessary.
For the mean time you can apply a cream containing gentamycin and give any pain killer tablet such as paracetamol or diclofenac for immediate relief.
Do not try to pinch or pop the area as it can lead to further aggravation.
Take care.
