What Should Be The Cause For The Swelling In The Salivary Gland Even After Taking Antibiotics?

I have a swollen salivary gland in my neck. I had it the same place a year ago & was treated with 10 days of antibiotics. It didn;t completely disappear & I had a CT scan. It eventually went away without further treatment. After a year it reappeared & I just completed 10 days of antibiotics. It is still not completely gone. What causes this & what should I do next?

hi
swelling in your neck means its a lymph node and not salivary gland. lymph nodes are the organs that drain extra fluid from body parts. so in case of any infection or harm to those organs, those nodes swell. the nodes of the neck drain extra fluid from our mouth, eats nose and eyes. the most common cause for swelling neck lymph nodes are tooth caries. i would ask you to refer a dentist for that. now as you have finished antibiotic course, we have eliminated infection and it will resolve in a few days by itself.
