What Should Be The Dosage Of Paracetamol And Ibuprofen For Headache?
Hi there, since Sunday evening I have been suffering from an all over headache. It goes away but then comes back quite strong. For the first few days I felt sick aswell but that symptom has gone away now. I have never had a migraine so am unsure if it is this. Anyway, I have been using paracetamol and ibuprofen for the pain and have been taking 2 tablets (one or the other) 3 times a day for the last 3 days and am worried that I have taken too much.
The treatment for headache by symptomatic way is by use of antiinflammatory drugs. These can be used up to three tablets a day. Hence the dosage you have taken is within the normal pharmacological dosage and no need to worry. Along with the symptomatic treatment the cause for headache needs to be evaluated and treated. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
