For a healthy 25 year old the normal RESTING heartbeat is 50 (expecially athletes) to mid 80's on average. If you climb a flight of stairs it could go to 110 and be normal and if you run it goes even higher with no ill effects. Also if you are running a fever your heartbeat goes up.
