Recently had a blood test. My TSH was 3.12. I am being treated for a fib and will have a stress test 1/17, but my question is 3.12 normal. I had radioactive iodine treatment 5/13 for hyperactive thyroid and right now I am very tired and feel depressed
Hi thanks for using HCM TSH of 3.12 is fairly normal .But after radioactive iodine therapy we prefer to keep it around 2.00.But when there is history of a fib we should be very careful in increasing the dose of thyroxine .Over replacement can precipitate arrhythmias. You have to look for Free T4 also.If the FT4 is with in range then don't get worried.. Thank you...
