What Should Be The Time Gap Between The Two Paracetamol Doses For An Infant?
My 13 months old baby is suffering from fever ranging upto 102.Doctor advised me wikoryl (2.5ml ) 3times a day, spectratil (2.5ml) 3 times a day & if still there is fever ,he said to take Meftagesic-p 2.5ml only once in a day.Is it advisable sincle wikoryl & Meftagesic both contains paracetomal 125 mg & what should be the time gap between the two Paractemol Doses. Regards, Vinod Gupta
Yes it is advisable because the dosage of paracetamol for 13 month old baby is 125 mg every 6-8 hourly up to maximum of four doses daily. If fever is not subsiding with wikoryl 2.5 ml three times daily you can give your child meftagesic-p 2.5 ml once a day. There is no harm in doing so as also advised by your doctor so don't worry much.
