Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Should I Do After Finding Left Atrial Abnormality In ECG Report?
Dear Doctor, My ECG report says Left Atrial Abnormality. A cardiologist suggested me for echocardiography test. I have done the test. But my report is clear. No disease/heart problem found in the test. But still i am feeling some problem e.g speed heartbeat. What should i do please suggest me.
The Echo was the best way to assess atrial size, if normal then the chamber size is probably normal. However, if there is a question about rapid heart rates, then a more prolonged period of monitoring (24-72 hours) would be needed, wearing a Device called a Holter monitor. You can ask your cardiologist about that.
Hope that helps, wish you the best,
