What Should I Do As It Is Taking Long Time For Healing?
I cut my nails and after extra skin came out its wet/ scabby has pain and developed an odor and when I touch a certain spot some type of thick liquid comes out. I'm scared I might have diabetes because of how long its taking to heal (a week) what should I do?
Bacterial infection has seeped into the deeper layers of the skin beneath the nail, leading to abscess formation. The fluid which seeps out is apparently pus.
Therefore, you immediately need a course of antibiotics to cure the infection.
It will NOT heal on its own. Neither is it an indication of underlying / undiagnosed diabetes.
Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me and will prescribe a suitable antibiotic in appropriate doses.
