I am 34, female. I am am about 63 inches tall and weigh 146 pounds. I am a volunteer for a locale fire department. I would like to know about how many calories I burn when I am responding to an emergency. Usually medical calls ex. wrecks, sick calls or providing water to fire fighters during a fire. How can I calculate calories burned during these activities?
Hello You are fire fighter ,it does not matter , male or female . The only thing is that you are a tough fighter . Usually a hard labor require 2500 calories / day but depending on the type of work , consistency , hours calories varies from person to person. How calculate , this is a tough procedure but in simple way is that when you feel craving for sugar ( carbohydrate ) , understand that there develop deficiency of sugar in body and you need at once . If you feel craving and dizziness ,it means urgent need of some calories . Carbohydrate 100 gm =====450=550 calories. Protein 100 gm===550-700 Fat 100======900 calories . So you can judge .
