Hi, my nephew, 30, working with a very prestigious international company at a very good salary is addicted to alcohol. His liver enzymes were alarming. He was treated under supervision of very good doctor and was almost normal. Was on leave for one and half months. He assured us that now he was fine and once he left to join his job he again started drinking. He drinks neet and did not listen to any one, including his wife whom he married not long ago. He never accepts that he drinks..We heard that there was a good de addiction n re habitation center center at Nimhans.. Pl let me know

Liver markers AST and ALT should be below 40 IU, and bilirubin should be less than 20mmol. However, even higher liver markers values till 60 are acceptable,but alcohol should be in every case reduced and liver condition should be evaluetd with ultrasound and CT scan.
