Hello,

I would explain that your blood pressure values are still high for your age.

The normal blood pressure ranges are 125/85 mm Hg.

For this reason, it is necessary for increasing the dose of your drugs or add new drugs in order to reach these levels.

From the other hand, considering your young age, I would recommend performing further tests to investigate possible causes, underlying secondary hypertension:
- complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation
- thyroid hormone levels for thyroid gland dysfunction
- blood electrolytes for possible imbalance
- kidney and liver function tests
- cortisol and aldosterone plasma levels for adrenal gland dysfunction
- urinary metanephrines for pheochromocytoma
- fasting glucose
- Doppler ultrasound of the renal arteries.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
