What The Right Procedure To Take Mifepristone And Misoprostol At 5 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
Hi I am 5 weeks pregnant. I have been advised to take one mifepristone today orally. Then 2 tablets of misoprostol after 24 hours and then another 2 in next 24 hours. Kindly suggest if it is the right procedure and what to do and not do in this process. Any diet chat recommend in this process.
The dosage, as suggested by your doctor for pregnancy under 10 weeks is one tablet of mifepristone on first day. However, the dosage of misoprostol is advised 2 tablet after 24 hours and other 2 tablets after 48 hours. However, some doctors advise Misoprostol in a single dose of 4 tablets after 48 hours.
There is no difference in effectiveness with one or the other regime of misoprostol. Hence, in my opinion, you may take the dosage as suggested by your doctor, as it is always advised to follow the prescription of your doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
