What Time Can I Have A Second Baby After Giving Birth Of The First Baby ?
My daughter is pregnant. Her delivery was on 19th July 2011 and it was a normal delivery. Now baby is 6 months old. She is again pregnant now. Last period was on Nov 5th 2011. What are the precuautions she have to take? Upto how many days she can give breast milk to first baby? Will she need to stop feeding?

Your daughter needs to wean off the baby slowly but as early as possible.As the baby is 6 months old she can start on top feed and completely stop breast feeding as early as possible.The reason is that sucking of breast can induce contractions in the uterus which can in turn lead to abortion.Since she has conceived soon after her delivery she may have anaemia so she will have to eat a healthy and nutritious diet that is rich in iron which will help increase her haemoglobin.The basic idea is to build up the health of the mother so that she is ready to support the new baby nicely.She should take care in handling the baby and protect herself from getting hurt at the tummy.She should avoid lifting heavy weight and take care to maintain her general good health and hygiene.

Hi welcome to H.C.M.Forum though it is not advisible to have pregnancy with so little gap ,there will be no problem. mother is to be fed well, as she has to feed 2 babies 1 first baby 2nd baby in side. now she is running 3rd month she can feed 3months more after that milk stops. if it is continuing to come she can feed latter also nothing will happen. but mothers feeding is most important. thank you.
