What to do about a strangulated hernia actual rib bone pertruding out and herniated into lung?? No one seems to know what to do as of now, waiting.. I can not get in my email as of now on top of all.. 1 724 588 1407.. In ER all last afternoon and evening and they took a ex ray and scan. Very concerned what to do, patient complaining now some of breathing ..Hot and trying to urninate..Rib bone is herneated ,We can pay you on the phone as to what you believe to do Thank You The rib shows not broken at all , seems so illogical to me just beyond myself.Wondering if this is life threatening, they say no..It is the 7th rib bone ,left side herniated .If laying down protrudes much more in size, size of tennis ball .Results of scan went to pittsburgh,pa.. Trying to give you all info I can think,They say it is herneated into the lung..Of course mostly physician practioners work in greenville ,pa ER, I guess the Dr that saw him was a Dr. but he said he never saw this in all of his 33 yrs of working in ER .This was around 7:00 PM last night 1/28/16 results were read .Patient has had several(many) surgeries, bodily struck and drug by a car in 8/11/1976 , spinal cord injuries. Does walk now with a cane ,had several back operations to include cysts removed outside spinal cord(3 times) but left cysts on inside like pods of grapes(sucessful).Double fusion on t12..also sympathectamy top right side,I forgot to say the 12th rib was removed for the double fusion.Recent hernia operation revealed 9 all size hernias (sucessfully done) Stomach was inverted and they turned it around and put a donut in asophagus (sucessfull).7 jewel plate nail on left femur.Had a pulominary embelism left side (disolved with blood thinners,success)Please excuse my spelling..Chest tubes were used on both sides to re inflate lungs after accident .Whole chest was crushed ,46 broken bones ,in a body cast for over a year after accident in 1976..Life flighted to Walter Read Army hospital..This may help as to what is going on ,there were many operations since accident ..Also has Horner's Syndrome(rare) as I believe the situation with this particular hernia now (rare),I hope you may have some recommendation .Maybe you have seen..Herneated rib..Thank you for listening.Would like to add , always has been success with no problem on surgery, quite amazing patient...Served proudly and bravely in the USA Army..
