What To Do For Depression In Old Age?

My father is 93 and has undergone some hard times of late and is depressed because of this. His family doctor put him on celexa and it has made him worse. I told him to call his doctor and tell him he wanted to go off the med but to make sure he could just stop taking it. He had only been on it for 10 days. I was just looking to see if there was something mild he could take without a lot of side effects.
