Good day. I'm sorry your daughter is experiencing these symptoms. I highly suggest your daughter contact her
primary care physician, OBYGN and or the provider/physician who has proscribed for her
Amoxicillin, and to update their offices as to what has occurred since starting anti-biotic treatment, asking in particular if there are any other alternative antibiotics that can cause less
stomach discomfort. Amoxicillin has the potential of upsetting many tummys, it has been known do to so on occasion with many patients I have treated. As such the
fever while on the low end of high, is slightly concerning and also must be followed. I suggest your daughter continue to hydrate, drink plenty of water, rest, and follow her fever, and or symptoms for any westernizing and or new developments. There is nothing with this short history that leads me to believe anything would be wrong with the baby; and rather that your daughter is suffering some
gastrointestinal irritation and possible viral infection. Nevertheless, it never hurts to check, and I recommend your daughter call her physician at earliest convenience to update him or her as to these symptoms, to determine their advise. I wish you and your daughter the best.
