What To Do For The Burning Sensation Below The Eye In Child?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...My 12 year old daughter has a red burning sensation under her left eye and on her cheek. This happens on and off for her and symptoms go away. She has regular issues with stuffy nose and recently has acquired a cold complicating her stuffiness. Are these symptoms indicative of an sinus infection? Should she seek medical attention? Might she need antibiotics?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

By what you say, I feel that it could be an allergic dermatitis or an urticaria. I feel that she might require anti allergic medication. Give her Benadryl syrup and if not better, then approach your pediatrician or physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
