What To Do For The Pain The Knee Cap Followed By An Accident?
fell directly on my knee cap while ice skating. it was painful...swelled, bruised.. this was 3 weeks ago. It is still painful to the touch specially at the exact point on impact. when I move it there is a grinding sensation. If I bump the spot the pain is intense. I can t even sleep on my stomach the weight of my leg on the knee cap is bad:(
It's high time for you to consult a orthopaedic doctor. Bad knee injury should not be neglected and you need a thorough examination by a doctor. The grinding sound suggests that you may be having a ligament tear, the treatment depends on the extent and type of the tear. Till the time you consult doctor follow these instructions 1.Dont put weight on that leg 2. Take bed rest 3. Avoid any kind of sports 4. Apply ice packs on affected area three times daily for 15 minutes 5. You can over the counter pain killer medications 6. Consult orthopaedician
