What To Do For Vomiting, Diarrhea And Numbness In Fingers?

My 15 year old has caught a stomach virus from me (mom) which I just got over. He is violently vomiting amd has diarrhea, but is also complaining of numbness all over his body, especially his fingers.....I didn t have this occur...should I go to the er?

Hi,

If this is the viral infection then be patient for at least 5 to 7 days it will be fine on its own and it may not need any specific treatment. In high clinical condition Tab Acetaminophen can be tried as per needed. Take bed rest, drink enough of water, and have light diet that is advisable, else it is nothing to worry. Watch for secondary infection if symptoms last for more than week and have symptoms fatigue, high grade fever.
