What To Do If Backpain Recurred After Few Drinks Following Surgery To Remove Endometriosis?

I had surgery two weeks ago to remove some endometriosis and realign my uterus. I had a few drinks last night since I didn t take any pain medication and now my back pain has returned and I have cramps and my incisions sting. Just not sure why. Would not be on here if it wasnt Sunday!

Hello,

The pain is most likely because you skipped pain medication. You can resume taking the next dose of pain medication. If the pain does not subside then, follow up with your treating physician or urgent care.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
