General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You should undergo a trans-esophageal echocardiography to confirm the diagnosis of atrial septal defect and it will also provide information about adequate margins suitable for device closure of the defect. Meanwhile you can take beta blockers to control your ectopic beats.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Andy, General & Family Physician
