hi my name is madeline, my daughter went to her gp with symptoms of anxity.she is 21 in a no go job.she had a miscarrage last january the baby was born at 21 weeks she lived for 1 hour. she had to get a cert from work. she currently being put on lexapro for her anxity.50 g.is this to young is she better doing councelling

Lexapro is a good drug for depression and anxiety. Although she is taking medicines it wouldbe wise to start her on cognitive behavioural therapy as well. This therapy is taken by either a psychologist or a psychiatrist in which the therapist identifies impaired cognitions (Thoughts) and try to correct them. They are 15-20 min weekly session and there should be around 8-10 sessions to help you with your illness. Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
