What To Do If Having Red Blotches, Burning All Over Body If Had Prolonged Exposure To The Sun While Taking Sulfameth/trimethoprim 800/160 Tabs?

I'm taking sulfameth/trimethoprim 800/160 tabs and I failed to read the bottle and had prolonged exposer to the sun. I have broken out in red blotches all over my body, and it has a burning/itchy feeling. Will it go away after a few days, or is there something else I need to do?

hi,
these are common after sulfa drug intake. hold any further doses and consult the doctor who has prescribed you, as you are probably allergic to sulfa, irrespective of sun exposure.
all the best.
