What To Do If Having Scotoma In Left Eye, Tingling And Numbness In Left Finger, Migraines, Lesions In Brain?
Hi I'm a 38 yr old female. I have a scotoma in my left eye since July 2013. I am also experiencing tingling and numbness in my left little finger. I get attacks of vertigo. I was with a neuro in nov 2012 due to a herniated disc at l5s1 and he did a brain scan as a precaution- there were lesions but he attributed them to the migraines I was having. However at that stage I did not have the scotoma. When the scotoma happened I went to an optimologist and had a visual field test and optic nerve scan- both appeared ok. They said it was Just one of those things. I'm terrified I have ms and was wondering if these symptoms could be linked to anything else. I do also suffer from fatigue and cramping in my leg muscles. Over the last 3 weeks my muscles in my limbs have been twitching when I'm resting. Any help would be appreciated.
Hello It seems from the history that you are having multiple sclerosis and you are experiencing numbness, scotoma on visual field and brain lesions. All these indicate optic nerve problems which ate common in multiple sclerosis like optic nruritis. Hence I advice you to consult neurologist for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
