What To Do If Having Swelling In Tonsils, Ears, Nose And Lots Of Headaches?
I have swollen tonsils swelling in my ears and nose, lots of head aches through out the day... Pharmacist gave me amoxicillin and said it was a infection im half way through my ten days of the pills and the swelling is the same and now I have one white line and one yellow line in the back of my throat... looks red and irritated and there are a few really small red bumps.... Do I need to go in and see a doctor or continue with the pills and salt water gargles...
Hi, From history it seems that there might be having acute follicular tonsillitis giving rise severe pain and congestion in throat. Continue with Amoxicillin and if there is no improvement after 2-3 days of treatment you might require change of antibiotic like Azithromicin 500 mg a day for 3-5 days. Then consult your doctor and get examined. Do antiseptic gargles. Take one anti-inflammatory medicine like Ibuprofen, paracetamol as well. Avoid spicy, fried, junk food and cold drinks. Ok and take care.
