What To Do If Thyroid Medication Doesn T Reduce The Symptoms?
My thyroid medication isn t reducing the symptoms of the desease. I have been taking the same dosage for at least nine years. I can t loose weight and I am trying to. My skin is dry. I am cold all the time and I work hard at not being depressed. Can I increase my dosage.
Hello dear I understand your concern You have thyroid symptoms inspite of using thyroid medication. It could be due to sever disease or improper dosage of medicine. I would suggest to consult endocrinologist and undergo thyroid tests like free T4, free T3, ans TSH tests. You should increase dose under advise of endocrinologist. After increase the dose repeat the test after 1 months to know response of the treatment Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
