Hi Doctor, My name is divya and i am a 31 year old lady from india. i recently started facing severe neck pain and left hand pain after a small accident i had in office.My MRI shows- loss of cervical lordosis. no listhesis, INTERVERTEBRAL DISC-disc desiccation of C5-C6 intervertebral disc is noted, annular disc bulging with posterior annular tear and left paracentral disc extrusion is seen at C5-C6 level with cord impingment and left neural foraminal stenosis, mild central disc protrusion at c4-c5 level with thecal sac impigmnenet.
Accute disc extrution at c5-c6 level with compression of left nerve root, mild disc protrusion at c4-c5 level
there are two options , you can either go for a conservative approach with drugs like pregabalin and physiotherapy and exercises. if you dont improve then the other option would be surgery.
