Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum
The sharp pain in the throat could be acute pharyngitis, which has also caused swelling of the glands. I would suggest you to consult your ENT specialist for a complete examination and to start you on antibiotics. Till then drink plenty of warm water, use povidone iodine throat gargles 3-4 times/day after food. Avoid chilled items and oily food for few days.

hello
you may be suffering from acute tonsillits.
tonsiltis means swelling of tonsills which cause pain while swallowing food/water,ear pain, fever, chills, headache, sore throat.

antibiotics are given to cure the infection.if you have recurrent throat infection than you can consult good near by homeopath to prevent its recurrence.
•Gargle with warm salt water atleast 3 to 4 times in a day which will give you instant temporary relief
