What Treatment Does MRI Report Suggest?

Mri report of my left knee says
1) Complete tear of ACL inits mid-substance
2)Moderate joint effusion

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

A complete tear of ACL nearly always requires surgical treatment except patients with complete tears and no symptoms of knee instability during low-demand sports who are willing to give up high-demand sports and those who do light manual work or live sedentary lifestyles.
The moderate joint effusion is collection of fluid in the joint due to possible trauma. Contusions are mild form of bone injury and heals by itself.
