What Treatment Is Recommended For Extreme Sweating Episodes?

I suffer from extreme sweating episodes. It has gotten so bad that I have lost the opportunity to enjoy my life. It has impacted my ability to do my job, go out on dates, sit by the pool, and many other daily activities. I am currently taking Neurontin two times a day. I have been menopausal for 11 years now and have been on every vitamin, herb treatment, acupuncture, antidepressants, and sleeping aides. I need help that will work over time .

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Persistent sweating can occur due to hyperthyroid states and this should be ruled out. Please get your thyroid hormone levels done to rule out hyperthyroidism. You are 11 years menopausal and hormonal changes in females after menopause can also cause the symptoms you are having. You are taking good nutrition and vitamins so nutritional deficiency can be ruled out.

Visit a doctor for help. Drugs like Duloxetine or Venlafaxine can help to reduce the sweating and anxiety symptoms you are having. Visit a doctor for prescription.

Hope this helps you. Thanks. Take care
