What Treatment Is Recommended For This Result From Blood Test ?
Hi my blood report says I have mild microcytosic hypochromic. Along with presence of tear drop shaped RBC, leptocytes and spherocytes. Anisopoikilocytes are also seen. Whereas my Hb is 11 and WBC and platelet count is normal and no abnormal cells in the body. What does my blood smear report indicate?! What is the treatment and precautionary methods I should follow. Thanks
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. The blood report you have mentioned indicates 'Iron deficiency anaemia'. You need to take iron with folic acid capsules daily for a month along with protein supplement powder. Consume iron rich foods like jaggery, green leafy vegetables and dates so that it will correct your iron deficiency. Wish you good health.
