What Treatment Is Suggested For Guttate Psoriasis?
Hi a few weeks ago I was really ill with a fever...few days later started coming up in a rash...started researching online and my symptoms were very close to pityriasis rosea. A week later due to a busy doctors I seen my gp and straight away corrected me and told me that I had guttate psoriasis. Was told to leave it and that it should calm down.. Another week later I found it was spreading and getting worse...so I went back to the doctors and seen a differentg gp and she gave me a medium strength steroid cream. Also the day after recievingt this I started using a coal tar ointment I ve been using the both now for a week and my rash has improved not scaly or raised anymore but can still see. How am I able to tell if it s guttate or rosea...I ve also been getting a lot of mouth sores under my tongue which is unusual for me. Thanks
The difference between the two diagnosis can be done only through physical examination.
If the steroid cream was effective, in my opinion it is more likely to be guttate psoriasis.
