What Treatment Is Suggested For Sponginess In Knuckles , Due To An Accident ?
Hello, I was doing some carpenter work and I accidentally hit my hand on my finger nearest my thumb, just before the joint were the carpals and metacarpals joining my knuckles, it's a hard about the size of a pea, when you push against it feels almost spongy it does not hurt should I be concerned? It seems to have gotten a little larger over the 5 days it has been there or maybe that's just my paranoia LOL, I also have some arthritis in my hands in the same general areas, my other hand is worse by the same hand has been bothering me in the cold weather. I started taking the herbal product called Instaflex could this be causing problems because it sure did eliminate the pain completely in the hand with the knot and reduce the pain in the other of this product is not related or the cause I'm a 48 year old female also with early menopause taking some homeopathic heath food store supplements any ideas as to cause other than the hammer?
Hi. he spongy swelling without pain may be due to the swelling in the coverings of the joint ( Synovitis). You already have arthritis you say. Instaflex looks OK with its contents. Continue on if this is giving you benefits.
