What Treatment Is Suggested For Symptoms Of Bronchitis ?
Have 25 6-day old chicks for 4-H project. Got chilled last night (temp under light fell to 75 fahrenheit) for only a few hours. This morning the seem congested (not sneezing and no mucous coming out nasal cavities or eyes). They make a strange noise (not sneezing...kinda like bronchitis or coming from lungs) then the shake their head. About half of the flock has these symptoms. Any thoughts?
Welcome to HCM. It looks to be lower respiratory tract infection. It usually due to exposure to cold weather. Start proper antibiotic like amoxy/clavulinic or moxifloxacin.
